Chapter 1 and 2
In Chapter One we covered three topics: 1) The Poetic Structure of Genesis 1, 2) the Comparative Myths of Genesis 1 (Looking at Enuma Enki) and 3) modern interpretations of Genesis 1. We began our session by reading and discussing the translation of Robert Alter.
In Chapter two we covered: Differences to Ch 1, Comparative Myth, the “MetaNarrative” of Genesis and Specifics in Chapter 2. There is no video of chapter 2, but you can catch the Presentation below!
Intro Part 1
In our first session, we began by looking at an overview of the Hebrew Bible and our framework for reading and studying Genesis.
Intro Part 2
In session two we finished the introduction and took a deeper look at the “source theory.”
